VITEC to Showcase Optibase Comprehensive Technologies Suite for Efficient Acquisitions, Archiving and Dissemination of FMV Content at DISA, AUVSI and LandWarNet Shows
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VITEC, a leading provider of advanced video solutions, will showcase its comprehensive portfolio of military-class solutions at DISA Customer and Industry Forum 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland from August 15-18, at the AUVSI Unmanned Systems North America 2011 show in Washington, D.C. from August 16-19, and at LandWarNet 2011 in Tampa, Florida from August 23-25. Bill Cassidy, Associate V.P. of Optibase Sales at VITEC, will be a featured speaker at the AUVSI “Beyond the Booth” Symposium on Wednesday, August 17, speaking about Complete Tactical IPTV Systems.
“We look forward to demonstrating the newest additions to our military solutions line during the August lineup of shows.”
VITEC will present its full, end-to-end line of Optibase IPTV / FMV solutions for military and situational awareness applications. With more than 5,000 military-grade H.264 encoders deployed and more than 200,000 DoD and other government agencies’ laptops and desktops using Optibase viewers, the Optibase suite of video and metadata processing solutions is one of the most deployed and relied upon IPTV technologies by government agencies and armed forces. Optibase solutions are valued for their best-in-class video quality and low bitrates, multi-channel encoding and KLV support throughout the data chain, from IP streams re-mapping, to transcoding, ingest storage and playback, as well as video and metadata asset retrieval.
The new Optibase MGW Micro Premium ultra-low latency multi-channel encoder and streamer, featuring best-in-class encoding latency of under 65 milliseconds, with TurboVideo™ technology, will be presented with live demonstrations. The ruggedized encoding and streaming appliance is optimized for mission-critical ingestion of FMV (Full Motion Video) content with optional CoT to KLV metadata. It features an airborne-ready footprint, high reliability, HDMI and composite video inputs and built-in AES-256/128-bit encryption for securing IPTV content.
VITEC will also introduce Optibase MGW Transcoder, a multi-stream real-time transcoding solution for reducing data rates of situational awareness FMV streams while preserving metadata. The platform allows operators to expand the reach of FMV streams downrange and to disadvantaged users with lower bandwidth network connections and legacy systems PIDs. The MGW Transcoder conforms to DISA security guidelines and includes a unique KLV metadata pass-through feature that enables ISR and FMV content to be repurposed with additional compression, while maintaining MISB compliant information intact on the output stream. Real-time AES-256/128-bit encryption allows output streams to be secured for FITIS and EZ TV users.
Additional field-proven products to be featured at the shows include:
- NETCOM-certified EZ TV Enterprise IPTV digital video delivery and management solution;
- FITIS Full Motion Video Solution for mission-critical processing, archiving, indexing, management and dissemination of tactical ISR video and metadata sources and creation of actionable, real-time intelligence;
- Ocaster IPTV HD/SD reflector, which bridges local area networks by repackaging multicast and unicast traffic and supporting secure encryption, metadata and transmission across WAN connections.
- MGW Blade Systems, including MGW Blade Platforms and MGES 6000 HD/SD encoding blades will also be demonstrated. The systems offer real-time AES 256/128-bit encryption, secondary stream functionality, redundancy for mission critical applications, best-in-class compression and support for composite, SDI and HDMI signals.
“Optibase solutions have been successfully deployed by the US Army, Navy, intelligence agencies and National Guard in some of the most demanding environments on earth. We are proud that our solutions are providing troops with exceptional situational awareness and actionable intelligence that saves lives and safeguards valuable resources,” said Michael Chorpash, Vice President of Optibase Sales at VITEC. “We look forward to demonstrating the newest additions to our military solutions line during the August lineup of shows.”
